The book we are reading is The Keeper of Lost Causes – also known as Mercy – by Jussi Adler-Olsen.

The theme this month is books that have been adapted for screen, so, though it’s not necessary for book club, we might discuss how faithful the adaptation was to the book if enough have read and watched. (I haven’t read the book yet but I did love Dept Q so it’ll be interesting reading the source material.

Carl Mørck used to be one of Copenhagen’s best homicide detectives. Then a hail of bullets destroyed the lives of two fellow cops, and Carl—who didn’t draw his weapon—blames himself.
