Yes, I think I am utterly crazy. I have no idea if I am going to be able to complete it this year, but sign away my life for a month again, I did.
For those of you who may not know what this challenge is, you can check out the challenge blog here. It’s been running several years and has proved extremely popular among some bloggers. The aim of the challenge is to write a blog post every day of the month of April, other than Sundays, which leaves 26 days, just enough to cover the alphabet. So yes, our posts are linked alphabetically starting at A and going all the way through to Z.
The original idea is to find new blogs and bloggers who you may like and explore what’s out there a little and in the same time, find some traffic coming your own way. The team for this have suggested those participating visit 5 blogs a day on the sign up list. The list now stands at 992 when I wrote this. If you want to add to that list and sign up, you will find it here. If you visit those that sign up after you, everyone should get an equal amount of visitors, rather than everyone starting at theΒ beginningΒ of the list.
Just in case you’re worried that this blog will go all off tangent during the challenge, please don’t, well, it shouldn’t get any worse off than it usually gets anyway. I will keep it all related to stuff you’ve already seen me blog about, I just have to make the titles fit and blog more often for a month! Crazy huh! I’m going to try and pre-write a few to give myself a hand.
Anyone else signed up to this madness?

Hi Rebecca, I’ve signed up for it to! This is the first time I’ve committed myself to anything like this so I’m nervous how I’m going to keep up to! I’m going to brainstorm some ideas before starting – but it’s a shame B isn’t on the 3rd of April as that’s my birthday π Good luck x

I’ve brainstormed some on paper, but that’s as far as I’ve got. I’ve really enjoyed it in the past, but it definitely needs prepping for. It’s a biggie. Good luck, I’ll see you there! π
Margot Kinberg says
Oh, Rebecca, I think this is great! I give you so much credit for taking on this challenge. And whether you complete it or not, good on you for going for it!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Margot. I’m so full of great ideas. I just need a few extra hours and more batteries plugging in me!
Patricia (@patricialynne07) says
I’m signed up for the challenge too. Can’t wait to see your posts.
Rebecca Bradley says
I’m looking forward to doing it again with you this year Patricia π
Bel Anderson says
Not doing it this year as I need more writing time, but really looking forward to the daily updates! Have fun with it!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Bel. It is one where priority commitments need making and you’ve done the right one for you. It’s a tough month. Good luck with the writing month!
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
Glad you are on board! Well over a thousand participants now. It’s going to rock!
Rebecca Bradley says
It’s a popular challenge Alex! I hope to complete it fully this year!
Elle Turner says
Really admire you for signing up, Rebecca! It sounds fun. Good luck and look forward to reading your posts π xx
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Elle. Hopefully I’ll keep up And not just pop rubbish out for the sake of it. I aim to keep posts the same as I’m currently doing, so regular visitors still want to come, and new visitors see what it’s about.

Hi Rebecca, I hadn’t blogged for such a long time I ended up removing the link from my Twiiter profile. I’m wondering if this is the ideal opportunity to return to it, if I could think of a theme to stick to as that was the problem which hindered me previously. I admire you for signing up and whether I sign up or not I’ll be following your progress. Good luck π
Rebecca Bradley says
I think it’s a perfect opportunity Claire! I’d love to see you blogging again. You could even just change blog space or change anything and start afresh. A whole new blogging world!
Annalisa Crawford says
Good luck with it. I’m not doing it this year – my thought was I was going to be in the middle of deep editing, but I’ll probably still be on the first draft. Either way though, I shouldn’t have the time… Note, ‘shouldn’t’ lol
Rebecca Bradley says
No. You shouldn’t. You have your priorities. You know you want to do them. Stick to your usual blog routine. Sometimes there is an unseen pressure to do everything that comes up. Ignore it π
Vikki Thompson says
Good luck Rebecca, I’m doing it too! π
Xx
Rebecca Bradley says
Yay!! Another crazy blogger π
nancyrae4 says
Ok, you talked me into it. Since I’ve finished my novel, I’m floundering around creatively. So, this will keep my fingers on the keyboard, at least for 100 words a day. I’m ready!!
Rebecca Bradley says
Really? Brilliant! And I guess you’re right, if you’ve just finished one, it’s actually ideal. I look forward to doing it with you π
Cynthia Reed says
Amazing! I just may. I have wanted to get back into blogging and have a couple of things written I just never seem to finish because I think “Oh, what’s the point? I should keep pushing on the novel.” But your ideas and methodology are good. I like the format. It would be good for me to blog shorter, too. Part of my issue is that I always write long. Thanks for the further inspiration today!
Rebecca Bradley says
I’m glad to see you’ve now signed up Cynthia! It’s definitely a great month to get back into. A hectic one, but a great one π
Gwen Tolios (@GwenTolios) says
I’m looking forward to the madness! Being writing for it for a while now, but I still feel that panicy feeling.
Rebecca Bradley says
It will be a fun month Gwen! π
Dee J Kirkby says
Oh….why do I feel tempted? WHY?!
Rebecca Bradley says
Oh no. Yay! Oh no! π
