This weekend I shall be at the national charity Ehlers Danlos UK‘s, residential conference in Birmingham.
It’s going to be a busy and full weekend but one I’m looking forward to. There is a full timetable of exceptional speakers who are specialists in their field which is one of the reasons I’m going. It is pretty full on though, so I expect to be paying for it next week.
This is the line up for Saturday and Sunday and gives you some idea of what someone living with EDS could potentially have to deal with.

I also get to meet people who live with the disorder day in day out and understand. They won’t look at me funny if I say I need to go and lie down for an hour! There is a ball on the Saturday evening which I’ve bought a new dress for and I hope to wear, but if it’s anything like Harrogate, I won’t even make it out of my room! I just hope the hotel has a decent Wifi! I hope to be able to tell you a little about it next week. Because I am away, there may not be a post on Monday unless I am able to schedule one in while I’m there.
Have a great weekend whatever you’re doing!

Good luck, hope you get what you need from it, particularly the support from people who understand. I think that’s important. And take it easy! 🙂
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Lynn, I’m looking forward to it, but yes, it’s going to be exhausting!

Off to the ball with you, Cinderella – here’s my fingers crossed for that – and hope you find the conference very informative and entertaining.

Thanks Marina. I hope I can make it to the ball. After all, I’ve bought the dress! 🙂

That is a packed weekend! Go and fill your brain.
Margot Kinberg says
Sounds like a very informative conference, Rebecca! I think most of us who don’t have to live with EDS have no idea of the many ways in which it complicates life…

I do hope this conference gives you helpful information and that you managed to make the ball.
